Founding team at O-ID poses with a robot

Tokyo-based O-ID is building one of the world’s first fully modular humanoid robots for factory work. Its $1.2 million pre-seed round had to stand out in a crowded market.

We built the story around labor shortages in Japan and the US and O-ID’s edge: parts that swap on the factory floor in minutes.

We tailored it by market: automation and modularity for US-focused media, and the two European founders building in Tokyo for European media.

The announcement got over 60 media hits globally, including The Next Web, Tech in Asia, Humanoid Robots Daily, and The Engineer.

This was the first time we’ve worked with a PR agency, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Our own website and social media traffic exploded after the announcement, and we got just the media coverage we wished for. We can warmly recommend San Francisco Agency to robotics companies.
