AquaNab partnered with San Francisco Agency in the summer of 2026 to announce its first-of-its-kind nanoantibody technology, which delivers alpaca-derived nanoantibodies through fish feed as a sustainable alternative to conventional chemical and mechanical treatments. The platform’s first target is sea lice, a parasite costing the global salmon industry an estimated $4 billion a year, with the ambition to expand to other diseases across aquaculture.
We shaped AquaNab’s news hook around the scientific breakthrough and its potential implications for the global aquaculture industry. We took the story to tech, startup, and niche aquaculture media, securing early interviews ahead of launch, with CEO Dr. Ruth Tamara Montero positioned as the voice behind the science.
The story earned 40+ media hits including from The Next Web, Tech.eu, Undercurrent News, The Fish Site and Salmon Business, taking AquaNab’s story across international aquaculture press, positioning it as a name to watch in sustainable aquaculture biotech.
"We were at a point where AquaNab had a strong story to tell, and we wanted to make sure it reached the right people and was told in the right way - that's how we came across San Francisco Agency. They actually took the time to get to know us before any writing. They understood who we are, what we are building, and why it matters — and that came through clearly in how well they captured our story. We also appreciated how straightforward, responsive and transparent the team was throughout the process; no unnecessary beating around the bush, just strategic thinking and solid execution. The campaign generated strong international coverage and, just as importantly for us, real interest from investors, industry and potential partners which was the goal".
