Glossary

  • CMS: The part of Webflow that holds the site's content.
  • Designer: The part of Webflow where pages are designed. Not for everyday editing.
  • Collection: A list of items that share a layout, like Insights.
  • Item: One entry in a collection: one post, one case.
  • Slug: The end of the web address, e.g. oura-health.
  • Draft: Saved, not on the site.
  • Changes in draft: Edits to a live item that aren't published yet.
  • Publish now: Sends one item to the site.
  • Whole-site publish: Sends design changes and queued items to the site. Katja's job.
  • Test site: The webflow.io address, for checking before going live.
  • Meta description: The short text under the title in Google.
  • OG image: The picture shown when a page is shared.
  • Alt text: A short description of an image for people who can't see it.
  • Redirect: Sends an old address to a new one.
