Mjuk, a re-commerce company for the furniture industry, chose to work with San Francisco Agency to make a big splash in the media about their €2.5M funding round in September 2023. Mjuk is a marketplace where customers can buy overstock, nearly-new and second-hand high quality furniture at competitive rates. The company handles the entire process, from picking up and cleaning the furniture, to sales and distribution.

What we did

We created press releases in Finnish, Swedish and English, and all key assets to go with them. We then pitched the story to furniture, e-commerce and startup media in all markets, and coordinated interviews with the Mjuk team, before we distributed the press releases to a larger segment of media contacts, followed up, and reported published news to Mjuk.

We had high-quality publications in all markets, including European tech media like EU-Startups and FinSME’s, as well as great results in the local Finnish and Swedish markets. In Sweden, we had a range of publications from e-commerce and logistics media, and in Finland we had published news in key business media like Talouselämä, as well as national news media like Ilta-Sanomat.

San Francisco Agency was a great partner for our fundraising PR. Drove the process efficiently from start to finish, and we enjoyed working with their experienced and friendly experts. The results were above expectations as well, both locally and internationally, and the achieved media attention has already had a positive impact on some larger partnership negotiations.
