Summer in San Francisco
Juhannus (Midsummer) is behind us, the summer holidays are just around the corner, and we thought now would be a good time to take a look at some of our recent successes.
San Francisco is open for business throughout the summer, so don’t hesitate to get in touch!
During the first half of the year, we helped launch Daimler’s moovel app in Finland, did PR for crowdfunding campaigns, and worked together with our community partner Sirdar to create a new website for Heltti.fi. Take a look at some of our recent client successes below.
Kieku feeds your mind
Kieku Labs, a Finnish independent media startup, launched a new kind of audio listening service. Kieku’s key content aims to feed your mind with topics revolving around entrepreneurship and society, wellbeing and real-life stories. San Francisco helped Kieku to become one of the top 10 tech stories of the week according to Tech.eu.
Industrial cleaning through ultrasound
Founded in 2016 and backed by Lifeline Ventures and Tekes, Altum Technologies is the first company in the world to remove fouling from industrial equipment without stopping production and without using hazardous chemicals. The technology can be adapted for numerous industrial applications. San Francisco helped Altum’s product launch gain full page coverage in both print and online versions of Helsingin Sanomat.
The Spotify of Karaoke
Singa announced €1.75M in funding, led by Initial Capital, with participation from Tamares Holdings, Superhero Capital, Reaktor Ventures and Tekes. Singa is the easiest way for consumers to sing karaoke anytime, anywhere and on any device, and provides a truly modern karaoke solution for pros. San Francisco helped Singa gain wide coverage in Finnish media, as well as featuring in TechCrunch.
Workshops, workshops everywhere
We have also been busy hosting workshops at various venues across the capital region. Our CEO Juhani visited both Startup Sauna and the Vertical Accelerator to talk about PR and marketing strategy, and our resident Marketing and Communications Manager Olli spoke to business at Design Forum Finland about modern marketing techniques.
We also hosted workshops at Maria 01 and at Arctic15 on getting your pre-conference PR on point, and on how to talk to journalists. We additionally delivered the latter workshop at Microsoft Flux, and were invited to coach startups in Microsoft’s Turbopump accelerator in August.
We’d like to thank our clients for an inspiring first half of 2017. We will be busy working with our international clients throughout the summer, so get in touch if you have a need to reach a new audience.
